Mate A1 not connecting

I received my Mate A1 today and was trying to get the little guy connected to my network but it would not connect. I hear a ding when it scans my phones QR code but will not connect. I currently have HM311 connected without issues on the same 2.4 Ghz access point so I don't know what I am doing differently. I have also reset the camera couple times but still does not connect.

Hi, can you also let me know how to fix this? I also received the camera, booted it up, went into app to add device, heard the ding after scanning QR code but app cannot find device to add. I have another camera that is running fine and was easy to install so I am not sure what the problem is?

Here is the solution, you have to download the app that says HeimSmart. I had on my phone the app HeimLife and the camera does not work with it.

I just tried this and would not connect to either of my two access points. It dings in the app flashes red for 30 secs and then back to blue.

Make sure the app is HeimSmart from the Google Play Store. Make sure you only have one router that is 2.4 GHZ not 5 GHZ and not a Mesh router. When you say two access points, this may be causing your issue.
