I think it can take some heat.
I had to leave it up in my dash of my truck so I could see my other vehicles while I went on vacay...
I did kind of slide it in a leather glove thinking it might protect it from over heating.
It worked! Although I couldn't get good night vision thru the glass of truck.
It works good after the vacation after I moved it and seemed like the hot dash didn't hurt it...
probably 80-90 degrees
