HM241 Motion Detection of a person, then email alert
I have the HM241 and have been trying to get it to DETECT motion and send me an email. It does it "sometimes" but mostly only when a person is directly under the camera or with in 2 feet of it. I CANNOT get anyone in Messenger tech support to tell me what the range of the camera is? I know it records the motion but it does NOT detect it and alert me. So what good is that if I am UNAWARE of when some one is at my door?
Does anyone know what the range is on theses cameras? it's so weird the system records the motion of a person at my door (sometimes) but it does not DETECT and send me an email until the person is RIGHT in front of the camera. So, I mostly get a picture of the top of their head (or nothing at all, maybe the air that passed by the camera?) . Not helpful.

Hello, beach89bum,
thanks for your question,
the range of theses cameras is about 7 to 8 meteres.
I’m having the same issues with the HM245 system. I can walk back and forth in front of my cameras all day, and only get random alerts, and never face/human detection.
Hello Errant, sorry for your inconvenience,
have you turn on the face detection and human detection at the same time?
This should both turned on, then it works.
I have, yes.
Hello Errant,
you can change the device to factory settings first.
All are selected by default, and pink is the selected area.
Alarm function - motion detection - sensitive seat - settings,
right-click the mouse to choose to exit when the key is confirmed before saving.
A red light will flash if you set the device successfully.

I’ve got face detection working on one camera, but not the others. I think the range is less than was advertised, as it is the cameras that are mounted higher up (on the eaves) that aren’t working.
Hello Errant,
The range of human detection is 9-12 meters long,
the range of face detection is 4-6 meters long.
the camera should be pointed at the face.
Finally, it depends on the concrete situation.
If you have any other questions,
please let us know,
thanks.
