At first you can share multi devices but, after a short time only one device will work. At that point you have to go back through initial setup.
Which system do you have? I use more than one iOS device to view mine (my iPhone and my iPad), and wonder if that explains the weird error I received when clicking a motion notification... something about maximum video link?
